It was very helpful to read about the regions to explore beyond the major cities. I like the idea of balancing time in the city/more rural areas.
The food information was extremely helpful. I appreciated the definitions of the different common types of restaurants, and I started following Katie for more inspiration.
I have never been so I am hoping that my first time to Italy will balance some of traditional tourist attractions, but include the towns you are mentioning as well.
My planning will include my kids currently 7 and 11 years old so I have to find a way to balance this. But it is our goal to take them on an international trip in the next year or two.
Thanks for doing this. I am heading to Liguria, Portofino and Sardinia this fall. Looking forward to hearing more about your travels.
I’m dying to go to Sardinia! High on my list. Share your experiences with us.
Kate Lawson and I are going. You know we will have a great time. Love sharing the experience!
Great travel partner. Good choice!
Great information! Looking forward to the next guide on booking Italy!

Lots to think about!
I hope you love it!
Let me know what you think of the Italy post.
Well done, James! You’re a natural. Let’s go to Vietnam! Non-drinker, however 😆
Thanks Pete! Ready when you are!
